The Trust held a working conference to consider future challenges and possible solutions for the conservation of the Chagos Archipelago on Thursday 25 October from 12 noon, at The Zoological Society of London, Regents Park London NW1 4RY.

Speakers included Dr. Peter Bridgewater, outgoing Ramsar Secretary-General and Chairman-elect of the Joint Nature Conservation Council; Professor Sir Howard Dalton, Chief Scientific Adviser for Defra; Professor Michael Depledge, Board Member of the Natural Environment Research Council; and Professor Charles Sheppard, Conservation Consultant for the British Indian Ocean Territory.
