An article in Defra's Darwin Initiative Newsletter describes the grant which has been awarded to three CCT scientists, Dr John Turner, Professor Charles Sheppard and Dr Heather Koldeway.  The article, 'Darwin Initiative to Strengthen the World's Largest Marine Reserve', describes the rationale behind awarding the grant, which will fund scientists to visit Chagos to carry out various research programmes on three expeditions in February 2013, November 2013 and February 2014 and will also fund a programme to consult, inform and involve the Chagossian communities in the UK, Mauritius and Seychelles.
